Native and discover how you can contribute.
A Native Square is a specific 3m² area of nature (land or marine habitat) where conservation or regeneration is actively supported. Purchasing a Square funds these activities contributing to a combination of carbon sequestration, biodiversity protection and community benefits, empowering indigenous-led preservation for at least 40 years.
Currently, Native is launching with a single project. In the future, buyers will be able to choose Squares in specific regions or ecosystems, each with unique attributes and outcomes.
Native directs 80-90% of proceeds from each Square to benefit indigenous communities and local conservation projects. These funds are then spent in line with the UN SDGs, ensuring they contribute to sustainable development and environmental protection in the region.
Native empowers indigenous communities with land rights and resources, outbids logging and mining companies, improves local healthcare and education, trains communities in forest ranger programs, and maintains a 40-year commitment for each Square. They actively monitor projects using remote and on-ground resources to counter risks.
Indigenous communities are essential partners, contributing knowledge, stewarding the land, and benefiting directly from revenue, which supports local initiatives like education, healthcare, and sustainable development.
Native's ABC Methodology assesses each Square for its Additionality (impact beyond existing practices), Biodiversity (species preservation), and Community (local social benefits) as well as carbon density to provide buyers with clear impact metrics.
A Native Square represents a real, traceable section of land or sea prioritizing carbon reduction, biodiversity preservation, and community impact. Buyers own environmental rights for 40 years and receive metrics across carbon, biodiversity, and community impact. Squares can be used for offsets, marketing, employee engagement, or potential future trading.
Native's first project protects standing rainforest in the Pacific. They are developing projects in various ecosystems, including mangroves, coral reefs, and marine habitats, each with tailored conservation or restoration goals.
Buyers can track their Squares through Native's map and impact dashboard, which provides up-to-date information on each Square's status, including real-time carbon, biodiversity, and community contributions.
Businesses can use Native Squares to demonstrate environmental stewardship, contribute to ESG goals, engage employees, attract climate-conscious consumers, and showcase their impact on biodiversity and community development through Native's tracking dashboard.
Yes individuals can gift Squares to their friends or companies can gift Squares to their employees, and brands can even reward loyal customers with Squares as an impact-driven promotion. Gifters specify an email address of the recipient who is then sent a link to claim their Squares. Gifted Squares have to be claimed within 90 days by the recipient or they will revert to the gifters’ portfolio.
Native does not offer refunds due to the high percentage of funds directed to indigenous communities and conservation efforts. Future trading on a secondary marketplace may be possible.
Trading is not currently available, but Native may introduce a secondary marketplace in the future, allowing Square owners to trade their Squares with a portion of fees going to communities.
Native sells Squares to both businesses and individuals, offering tailored solutions for each. Businesses have wholesale options and personalized support, while individuals can offset personal emissions and track their impact.
Native uses independent validation, combining satellite data, AI, and on-ground reports. Additionality is calculated using methods from the Cambridge Centre for Carbon credits, while Biodiversity and Community methodologies are developed in-house.
Native's unique tracking and mapping system ensures each Square's impact is distinct, preventing double-counting through transparent and publicly available ownership records.
